Transformation Lead

Position Overview

The Transformation Lead will provide guidance and leadership during the entire implementation project lifecycle, from the establishment of business requirements, scoping, solution design and deployment activities required to ensure a successful project and maximize the value realization with the client.

It is intended that this position would be responsible for driving the business process maturation, formulation of how the technology would best serve the manufacturing processes and the adoption activity with strong collaboration with the business and IT team members.

The Transformation Lead will also be responsible for leading project deliverables, collaborating with technical resources, and be a key translator of business requirements to technical requirements in order to execute according to the approved solution designs and relevant playbook deliverables.

This is a dynamic, multi-faceted position that can serve many different roles throughout the project lifecycle including Senior Modeler, business analyst, junior solution architect, and junior Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide implementation leadership and guidance for the project team.
• Key contributor to the generation of project schedules, level of effort documents, risk assessments, gap assessments, issue tracking, adoption playbook deliverables and cutover plans.
• For smaller / simpler projects, may serve some lightweight PM Role Activity (such as task management and deliverable tracking and status reporting.
• Organize project team resources and manage task assignments in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Govern the technical team’s delivery to functional requirements.
• Lead Master Data Management activity.
• Lead Data Migration and Cutover planning and execution.
• Communicate and apply industry best practices to multiple areas of the project.
• Provide superior level customer service.
• Assist with Configuration Design requirements.
• Assist with gathering / vetting of high level business requirements and mapping to existing functional requirements and/or writing new requirements, as needed.
• Acts as an escalation coordinator for any gaps and liaise with technical team for resolution.
• Develop strategic relationships with implementation team, key stakeholders and business / project sponsors.
• Identify / assist with touch point definition to support interface requirements.
• Provides hands-on assistance and mentoring related to project implementation, configuration, testing and software validation.
• Provide knowledge transfer to the local team responsible for training, support, validation and adoption activity.
• Create and/or updated documents relevant for successful project execution.
• Due to the global nature of our company, it should be expected that from time to time, alternative work hours may be required to accommodate other geographies’ time zones.

Travel Required

• should be prepared to travel up to 35% of the time.

Certifications

• MESA International Certificate of Competency (CoC) for MES/MOM Methodologies
• APICS CPIM

Application Accountability

• Provide guidance regarding Opcenter factory modeling and best practices for MES and related technology.

Experience / Qualifications

Skills and Abilities Required

• Experienced in Manufacturing Processes and Technologies to provide business analyst and strategic design services, combining products and reusable components with strategies for integration of system, machine, and user interfaces, as well as high-level model decisions to meet the clients’ business requirements.
• Ability to deliver project solutions of the highest quality.
• Ability to manage and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to self-govern and lead smaller projects as a sole contributor.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills is a must.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capable of understanding the importance of PLM, ERP, MES, and Manufacturing Intelligence and where it fits in the overall MFG IT Portfolio.

Experience

Required:

• 3 – 5 years of experience in technical project leadership.
• 3 – 5 years of experience as a mfg systems analyst or industrial process engineer.
• Familiar with integration approaches, framework technologies, or other application integration toolsets.
• 2 – 4 years working in a manufacturing environment / discipline or with manufacturing technology directly supporting manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge in solution components, software design, development methodologies, and good documentation practices (GDP).
• Domain expertise in MES.

Desired as Ideal:

• Experience with Medical Device or Regulated Industry.
• Experience with Validation and Verification of Mfg Software.
• Understands Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Fundamentals
• Experience with PLM and ERP systems.
• Direct manufacturing experience, or senior systems experience (analyst) with leadership skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Engineering, or related Field (or the equivalent experience) plus a minimum of five years related experience.
